If there were a playoff edition of the Clutch Player of the Year award, I still think Jalen Brunson would take it. That said—what’s going on with Aaron Gordon? Not long after that insane follow-up dunk at the buzzer, he’s back at it again. This time, he caught a slick pass from a charging Russell Westbrook, who got the ball off a Christian Braun rebound after Chet Holmgren missed both free throws.
If Golden State beats Minnesota tomorrow, then every lower-seeded team will have drawn first blood. But at least in the West, that’s not too shocking—Denver and Golden State are recent champs, after all.
