The Golden State Warriors flexed their postseason experience by taking down the Houston Rockets in the decisive Game 7 of their series. GSW came out with purpose, with Draymond Green setting the tone through sharp focus and leadership. Buddy Hield led the scoring with 33 points, while Stephen Curry came alive in the second half to seal the win. Draymond and Jimmy Butler also brought their playoff intensity, rattling the relatively inexperienced Rockets.
Up next for the Warriors: the giant-slaying Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards is expected to be a major roadblock in Golden State’s path back to the Finals. More urgently, GSW needs a solid game plan to counter Minnesota’s dominant frontcourt. If the Timberwolves prioritize feeding their big men, it’s hard to see the Warriors sticking with their usual lineup—especially with Draymond potentially matching up against Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, and Naz Reid in the paint.
