Wazap yo.
This is not just a list of who scored the most or who played the most minutes.
This is about who mattered.
Who turned heads, turned games around, and turned up even when their teams didn’t. Some are stat machines on bad teams on the verge of getting poached in preparation for the PBA's golden season. Others are glue guys on contenders. But whether they’re on the rise or already top-tier, these are the players who defined the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup elimination round.
Stats don’t lie—but context tells the full story.
Game starts now.
1. JUNE MAR FAJARDO – SAN MIGUEL
PPG: 17.6 | RPG: 13.1 | APG: 3.3
The Kraken remains the most stable force in Philippine basketball. Anchoring San Miguel’s rise to the top with brute force and veteran savvy, June Mar’s presence on both ends is priceless. He doesn’t need 25 points to dominate—a quiet double-double from him sets the tone. In a loaded team, he’s still the foundation.
2. ROBERT BOLICK – NLEX
PPG: 18.3 | RPG: 6.7 | APG: 7.2
Bolick has been a regular top guy in the rankings, but this time, he's part of a winning team. NLEX finished tied for first, and much of that came from Bolick orchestrating the show. Whether breaking down defenses, hitting clutch shots, or stuffing the stat sheet, Big Shot Berto is on the hunt to win his first-ever PBA title.
3. CJ PEREZ – SAN MIGUEL
PPG: 23.4 | RPG: 4.9 | APG: 4.3
The Baby Beast turned on the jets this conference. His scoring leaps off the page, leading the conference with an insane 23.4ppg, but it’s the way he does it—slashing, finishing, punishing defenders—that makes him deadly. While June Mar anchors the middle, CJ is the chaos on the perimeter.
4. JOSHUA MUNZON – NORTHPORT
PPG: 19.8 | RPG: 5.5 | APG: 4.9
NorthPort may have flamed out early, no thanks to the departures of Arvin Tolentino and Will Navarro, but Munzon almost always played in MVP form. Volume scorer, underrated playmaker, and one of the few bright spots for a struggling squad, the former ABL standout deserves more next season.
5. JASON PERKINS – PHOENIX
PPG: 23.2 | RPG: 6.6 | APG: 3.4
Even if the Fuel Masters failed to rise to the challenge in this Philippine Cup, Perkins had a lot of 20-plus nights. His blend of post power and outside touch was a nightmare to guard. Phoenix didn’t get far, but Perk did everything he could to drag them closer. Yes, Kai Ballungay is an up-and-comer, but he is the bar none team leader.
6. CALVIN OFTANA – TNT
PPG: 20.4 | RPG: 7.4 | APG: 3.2
With injuries piling up for TNT, Oftana answered the call. Efficient, steady, and deceptively explosive, Calvin gave Tropang Giga a fighting chance. He’s built for big stages—and TNT will need his services if they want to become the first team since the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers to win a PBA grand slam.
7. ZAV LUCERO – MAGNOLIA
PPG: 18.9 | RPG: 8.0 | APG: 1.9
Lucero was the injection of energy Magnolia needed. The poster boy of Magnolia's wave of the future made timely shots, battled for boards, and has emerged as Chito Victolero's top big man. With Magnolia in the Top 4, Lucero needs to prove to their team's detractors that they are above their "Introvoys" tag.
8. JUSTIN ARANA – CONVERGE
PPG: 16.6 | RPG: 11.0 | APG: 2.9
One-half of Converge's Twin Towers, Arana is evolving fast, to the chagrin of his foes. He crashes the glass like a vet and finishes inside with confidence. Converge relied heavily on his inside presence, and more often than not, he delivered.
9. JUSTINE BALTAZAR – CONVERGE
PPG: 13.8 | RPG: 12.4 | APG: 2.1
The other half of Converge's Twin Towers is also a double-double machine. While Balti isn't a good as Arana scoring-wise, his ability to control the boards gave Converge second chances and defensive stops. The top pick of the 2024 PBA Draft will surely be in the spotlight with Converge taking on Ginebra in the quarterfinals.
10. LOUIE SANGALANG – TERRAFIRMA
PPG: 17.3 | RPG: 7.9 | APG: 3.1
One of the few bright lights in Terrafirma’s extremely crappy (perhaps) final season. The no-nonsense former Letran Knight played with a chip on his shoulder with the departure of their top stars. A tough, tongue-wagging, do-it-all guy in a team that deserves a winning program, hopefully, he continues his development into the next season.
11. SCOTTIE THOMPSON – GINEBRA
PPG: 11.9 | RPG: 6.3 | APG: 6.5
As always, Iskati's scoring numbers don’t jump out, but his impact in the other stats is undeniable. Scottie’s all-around game and leadership were huge in Ginebra’s late run. He’s the glue that keeps his team together, and Tim Cone will look for him to take the team to their third straight finals appearance.
12. JAPETH AGUILAR – GINEBRA
PPG: 18.2 | RPG: 7.8 | APG: 1.6
At the wrong side of 30, Japeth showed flashes of his old, genetic freak form. His midrange was automatic, and he had stretches where he dominated inside with his slamma jammas. Unlike past Philippine Cup when he had either Greg Slaughter or Christian Standhardinger, this time, the spotlight is on Japeth Like It's Hot.
13. WILLIAM NAVARRO – NORTHPORT/MAGNOLIA
PPG: 16.4 | RPG: 8.8 | APG: 1.6
No matter the jersey, Will Navarro always put in work. This former Northport double-double magnet that was just harvested by the Magnolia Hotshots is a system-friendly utility guy when he's not the focal point of the offense. Calvin Abueva always goes into Beast Mode come playoff time, which means Navarro needs to at least match what he can give.
14. KAI BALLUNGAY – PHOENIX
PPG: 16.1 | RPG: 9.8 | APG: 1.1
The future is bright for Phoenix, especially with this rookie who has serious upside. Kai’s length, timing, and mobility made him a contributor in the Philippine Cup, which makes his sophomore season intriguing. Once he polishes that offensive game, Phoenix might have a shot to get out of gutter hell.
15. CHRIS NEWSOME – MERALCO
PPG: 16.0 | RPG: 3.7 | APG: 3.6
As always, Chris Newsome was steady as ever. When Meralco needed a bucket or a defensive stop, he was there. Meralco is about to face an uphill battle against the top-seeded San Miguel Beermen, and all eyes are on Newnew in this MVP versus SMC quarterfinal battle.
16. SCHONNY WINSTON – CONVERGE
PPG: 16.6 | RPG: 4.8 | APG: 2.9
This explosive scorer stepped up in the absence of Jordan Heading. Winston showed his skillset in spurts, and when he’s on, he’s hard to stop. Converge needs him to play well in the quarterfinals, to at least give the FiberXers a positive, given what they lost in the Heading trade.
17. JAMIE MALONZO – GINEBRA
PPG: 13.4 | RPG: 7.5 | APG: 2.6
Highlight factory, energy bringer, and underrated rebounder. Malonzo is maturing into a two-way threat and becoming more than just a dunker. It is as if Japeth moved to the Gregzilla/C-Stan spot with Malonzo settling on Japeth's old PF role or the duties vacated by Justin Brownlee.
18. CHRISTIAN DAVID – BLACKWATER
PPG: 15.6 | RPG: 7.4 | APG: 1.6
Raw but promising. Without question, there was no sophomore slump in his game, especially in the Philippine Cup. Christian David was one of Blackwater’s few bright spots, battling inside and showing improved range.
19. ADRIAN NOCUM – RAIN OR SHINE
PPG: 16.3 | RPG: 3.8 | APG: 3.4
I've said this again and again. Adrian Nocum reminds me of Ato Agustin. A tough shot-maker with a knack for rising in clutch stretches, Rain or Shine needs his playoff version to either give ROS another semifinal spot, and perhaps a finals appearance.
20. SANTI SANTILLAN – RAIN OR SHINE
PPG: 14.7 | RPG: 8.3 | APG: 0.9
Santi is not flashy, but he is extremely dependable. An underrated young big who happily does the dirty work, Santillan’s rebounding and physicality will be in full display as Yeng Guiao's young core is about to eclipse their twin semifinal finishes this season.
And here are the rest of the players.
