The Adamson Soaring Falcons entered Season 87 with hopes of making a deep playoff run. While they managed to secure a Final Four spot, their journey was cut short as they struggled against top-tier competition. They had to battle UE in a do-or-die playoff for the fourth seed, a tough challenge that sent the squad to a Final Four appearance after missing out on one in Season 86. Even after making it to the semifinals, they faced the formidable DLSU Green Archers, falling short in the twice-to-win scenario.

Despite Season 87 ending without any individual awards, several Falcons showcased impressive performances. Cedrick Manzano was a reliable presence in the paint, averaging 9.19 points and 7.69 rebounds per game, while also contributing nearly two assists and a block per contest. Matthew Montebon was the team’s steady backcourt leader, putting up 8.94 points, 2.75 rebounds, and 2.75 assists per game. Anthony Fransman provided solid interior support, averaging 7.87 points and 6.87 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Matt Erolon and Royce Mantua played key roles in the rotation, helping to keep Adamson competitive.
Although the Falcons fell short of making the finals, their effort and resilience were evident throughout the season. With key players gaining more experience, Adamson will look to build on this campaign and aim for a stronger performance in the next UAAP season.
