2024 PBA DRAFT PREVIEW | THE DRAFT SCORE - NU BULLDOGS

The NU Bulldogs are probably the worst UAAP player destination during the '90s and the 2000s. Yes, the team had a two-time MVP in Danny Ildefonso as well as former PBA Mythical First Teamer Lordy Tugade, but other than Adriano "Jun" Papa from the Pioneer Era and Cris "Lucky" Bolado, the Bulldogs have found little to no success transitioning to the PBA.

Chico Manabat and Ariel De Castro found short-lived success in the MBA while Jeff Napa, Alfie Grijaldo, and Gilbert Neo were unable to transition their game to the pros. Froilan Baguion, the undrafted NU star in the 2004 PBA Draft, managed to make his mark as a decorated Southeast Asian import alongside ABL standout Al Vergara.

From 1994 to 2011, the Bulldogs advanced only once in the UAAP Seniors Basketball Tournament. From 2003 to 2011, Jonathan Fernandez was the only successful PBA Draft applicant.

This all changed in the mid-2010s though, when SM got dibs on the school and what the once hapless Bulldogs were transformed into champions.

This is the Draft Score.
