When I was in college, there was this dude who taught me that "grades are good but he's here for the learning".
Nowadays, I am leaning towards the "grades are good" part more... but only because it looks good on paper.
My kid has a lot of issues. Always forgetting to close the door when the aircon is on is one. Forgetting to say "po" and "opo" while saying the word "death" a multitude of times is another.
But I can't discount the fact that he is on top of things in school.
I hope this isn't just because of the padded outputs caused by the current global situation. I also want him to improve on his Tagalog because while he's trying, goddamn YouTube needs to have more children's content for Pinoy kids.
Nonetheless, I hope I see more of his development. Again, he has issues but at least I can justify the hours of gaming he puts in because he understands all the information he gathers.
