DLSU GREEN ARCHERS | UAAP SEASON 87 STATS

The DLSU Green Archers came into Season 87 with high expectations, and for the most part, they delivered. Finishing the elimination round with an impressive 12-2 record, La Salle secured the top seed heading into the Final Four. Their dominance continued as they dispatched the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the semifinals, utilizing their twice-to-beat advantage to punch a ticket to the Finals.

However, their championship aspirations fell just short, as they lost a hard-fought best-of-three series to the UP Fighting Maroons, 1-2. Despite the heartbreak, La Salle’s campaign was nothing short of spectacular, highlighted by the performances of their key players.

FINAL FOUR | WON OVER ADAMSON (TWICE-TO-BEAT)

FINALS | LOST TO UP, 1-2 (BEST OF THREE)

AWARDS

FINALS MVP | KEVIN QUIAMBAO

MYTHICAL FIVE | KEVIN QUIAMBAO

MYTHICAL FIVE | MIKE PHILLIPS

Kevin Quiambao was the heart and soul of the Green Archers, earning the Season 87 Finals MVP award and a well-deserved spot in the Mythical Five. He averaged 16.72 points, 8.22 rebounds, and 3.44 assists per game, proving his all-around dominance.

Mike Phillips, known for his relentless rebounding and defensive hustle, also made it to the Mythical Five, averaging 12.72 points and 11.39 rebounds per game while contributing on both ends of the floor.

Despite falling short in the Finals, the Green Archers remain a powerhouse and will look to reload for the next season. The departure of Kevin Quiambao to the Korean Basketball League's Goyang Sono Skygunners is a significant loss, but the future still looks bright.

Next season, La Salle will welcome former NCAA champion and Finals MVP Jacob Cortez, as well as current Gilas Pilipinas member Mason Amos. With these additions, the Green Archers are primed for another deep playoff run and will undoubtedly be one of the favorites to reclaim the UAAP crown.

Season 87 may not have ended the way La Salle fans had hoped, but with their ever-growing talent pool and championship pedigree, the Green Archers are set to return even stronger.
