PBA GOVS CUP IMPORT RANKINGS | START TO JULY 24

Last season, George King was an offensive juggernaut, knocking down shots from virtually anywhere on the floor and consistently hitting four-pointers.

Unfortunately, he was carrying Blackwater alongside Sedrick Barefield in losses that were either blowouts or narrow defeats. Yes, Blackwater enjoyed a late-conference surge with King as its import in the Commissioner's Cup, but that wasn't the case when he returned for the Governors' Cup.

Now, George King wearing San Miguel colors is a different story.

The Beermen have finally found a big-time import.

So, welcome to the first edition of the Import Rankings for this conference, and let's just say that King stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Coming in second is De'Vondre Perry, who has essentially become what King once was, carrying the struggling Macau Giant Pandas despite the team's abysmal performances.

Then there's Justin Strings, who could have used a player like Jerrick Ahanmisi to help bolster Terrafirma's campaign. The Justin Brownlee lookalike has shown plenty of promise for the Dyip, but he has yet to lead the team to a victory over a legitimate contender.

Rounding out the top four imports is Riley Grigsby, the 26-year-old who could eventually replace the 38-year-old Brownlee whenever he decides to call it a career.
