A total of 38 games have been played since the start of the NCAA’s 101st season. And while I was hoping that the incoming PBA prospects and the standouts from Season 100 would assert their dominance, it’s hard not to appreciate the rise of new stars in the league.

Some players have stepped out of supporting roles to become key contributors. Others have successfully transitioned from the Juniors division. And a few are now making noise while wearing new colors. These are the players turning every game into must-watch basketball and leading their teams toward prime positions in the knockout stages.

Rookie Titing Manalili remains on top of the rankings despite Letran’s roster of graduating veterans. He may only be the Knights’ third-leading scorer, but his 9.6 assists per game lead the entire league. His former Letran Squires teammate, Jhuniel Dela Rama of San Sebastian, continues to post double-doubles. With Paeng Are opting out of his final year, Dela Rama has taken over as the Stags’ leader—topping the team in scoring and leading the league in rebounds.

Meanwhile, rookie Janti Miller is the league’s top scorer. He’s still turnover-prone, but his offensive firepower makes him a key piece in San Beda’s mission to reclaim the championship from Mapua. Surprisingly, the Cardinals have been struggling lately, with main man Clint Escamis also having a rough stretch. Escamis and JRU’s Ivan Panapanaan both slid eight spots from their previous rankings.

On the other hand, Letran’s Kevin Santos surged from 19th to 8th, and EAC’s Wilmar Oftana climbed from 20th to 11th. Dropping out of the list are San Sebastian’s Ian Cuajao and LPU’s Michael Versoza, replaced by Perpetual’s Cedrick Abis and his former Altas teammate—now Mapua Cardinal—Cyrus Nitura.

Benilde’s Allen Liwag returned from injury to take the third spot, while his teammate Justine Sanchez also cracked the Top 10. Rounding out the list are Arellano’s T-mc Ongotan, LPU’s scoring duo Renz Villegas and Ato Barba, and Letran’s Jimboy Estrada.

Below is the full list of names and rankings, based on points, rebounds, assists, and stocks (steals and blocks).
