MOVING ON FROM THE 2020 NBA DRAFT CLASS

I think I have one Prizm mega box in transit.

I went insane a couple of months ago and thought it was a good idea to spam Prizm mega boxes for the sake of scoring an Anthony Edwards or a LaMelo Ball.

Well, I have a silver Ant-Man now. Sure, it's an Emergent... but it's not like I didn't score the normal version of his base rookie card.

LaMelo though. He's so hard to pull.

I can't even pull a Donruss Rated Rookie of him.

I am bent on purchasing a mega box of Chronicles but after nearly six months of hunting for rookie cards, I am conceding on the 2020-21 NBA rookies.

I think?

If James Wiseman stays with the Golden State Warriors, then his career would be in jeopardy. Sure, he could win a championship with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and a returning Klay Thompson more or less in their stable but... I just don’t know if the second pick overall has card value thereafter. Patrick Williams could have a good sophomore showing with the Chicago Bulls but Cleveland, Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Washington, and Phoenix could distance their selves from developing Isaac Okoro, Onyeka Okongwu, Killian Hayes, Obi Toppin, Deni Avdija, and Jalen Smith to their fullest potential.

The last six names I enumerated are picks fifth to tenth in the aforementioned draft class.

Apart from Tyrese Haliburton, I am high on what Cole Anthony, Isaiah “Beef Stew” Stewart, Saddiq Bey, RJ Hampton, Payton Pritchard, and KJ Martin could bring. Secondary notables from my stunner list include Immanuel Quickley, Aleksej Pokusevski, Desmond Bane, and Theo Maledon.

I have a ton of rookies that has yet to come up with a notable investment return.

As for my 2019-20 rookies, I guess year three would be the time to trim down my collection. Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, and RJ Barrett have made their mark but the love for De’Andre Hunter, Darius Garland, Coby White, Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish, PJ Washington, and Tyler Herro has decreased. I am hoping the next season would take Darius Bazley to greater heights as he is my wildcard in this class.

I am just biding for a financial uptick so I can go to COMC and claim a Ja Morant Prizm rookie card. I am a bit conservative in getting this card and I know I need to get this before the price gets more expensive.

I am looking forward to the 2021 Draft class and I am going to spam on claiming a bunch of Jalen Green cards. Apart from supporting Pinoy pride, I see the Ignite star performing well if he gets selected to Houston, Toronto, Orlando, and Oklahoma City (although his move to OKC would ruin my aspirations for Darius Bazley’s NBA success drive).

Anyway, hopefully, my last Prizm mega box would unearth a LaMelo Ball pink Prizm.

Or a Red cracked ice… as I may look to get another mega box just in case this last one pans out?
