If there is one guy that can go one-on-one with Ramon Fernandez, then look no further because it's Abet Guidaben. El Presidente may rank higher against Guidaben when it comes to awards but when they clash, The Pride of Camiguin is going all-out on his contemporary. In fact, these two were part of two separate one-for-one deals - first with Tanduay and Manila Beer and the other with Purefoods and San Miguel. Abet Guidaben made his PBA debut with the legendary Crispa Redmanizers and it resulted to him winning two grand slams and an MVP award. Abet also claimed another MVP plum playing for the San Miguel Beer (Fernandez won the MVP next year after the two were traded for each other).
