RICKY RUBIO'S ACL INJURY SUCKS!

I am always a fan of Ricky Rubio.

I know he is one-half of the god-awful pass which led to the Golden State Warriors selecting Steph Curry but in fairness to him, he had a pretty solid career.

And he gained worldwide recognition as a 14-year-old prodigy. In some ways, I would rather see him team up with Juan Carlos Navarro, Jose Calderon, Jorge Garbajosa, Marc Gasol, and Pau Gasol than whatever he is doing.

With that said, I enjoyed his Mutt and Jeff combo with Kevin Love when they rolled with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Unfortunately, he battled with injuries throughout his NBA career.

This season is no different… at the moment.

When everyone wrote him out, he helped the Cleveland Cavaliers become must-see basketball. I know the Cavs are probably looking to check out the Collin Sexton and Darius Garland backcourt but his entry to the fold helped the easing in of Evan Mobley and the development of Jarrett Allen.

Kevin Love also had some sort of revival.

Also, Cleveland traded for Rubio because of his contract status. I doubt if they’ll resign him next season even if he continued his awesome plays. If they are just trying to appease Love, well the former double-double force is a season and a half away from completing his contract obligations and I doubt that Cleveland would sign him back for around 28 million.

Rubio’s dumbass torn ACL injury sucks. If you check out social media, everyone thought that his injury is unfortunate because of what he brought to Cleveland. Here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery but he is also an old 31-year-old with a 17-year pro basketball history. He is also an expiring contract. Sure, he can help with the further development of Mobley and Allen as well as Isaac Okoro but I doubt if Cleveland would pay Rubio 17 million dollars to sit on the sidelines… not unless some sort of superstar in the caliber of LeBron James would just randomly show up on their doorstep to tell the team execs that he wants this guy back.
