PSYCH | THE LIE DETECTOR TEST

Shawn Spencer is basically a more restricted version of Ace Ventura.

Restricted in the sense that Jim Carrey is too over the top… and Shawn can dial a bit down especially when things turn too serious.

Trained for some reason by Henry Spencer to become the ultimate detective (or criminal because of his means to gather information), Shawn has done a lot of things to merit a bunch of accolades as Santa Barbara’s most famous psychic.

Following the events of the fifth season, however, his personal life has become more exciting. Shawn and Juliet O’Hara are now a couple and they have to contend with the fact that Juliet’s partner, Carlton Lassiter, hates Shawn because he never believed for one second that he is a psychic.

And then, the lie detector test happened.

If you are a fan of the show, this is one of the best moments of the series. It might be Shawn’s confession, it could be Juliet’s smirk, and it could be Gus’ reaction to the smirk.

Or, if it could be Lassiter’s reaction in the end.
