Shohei Ohtani hit the ball so hard, it looked like it might go through a wall. Okay, I’m exaggerating—but still, nearly 118 miles per hour off the bat? That’s insane. That said, I think I’m starting to like this Kim Hye Seong guy. I know he’s just filling in for Tommy Edman while he recovers, but he’s making the most of it, especially with those stolen bases.
I came across a Stephen A. Smith rant saying the Dodgers are ruining baseball, and honestly, I kind of get where he’s coming from. Freddie Freeman launched a beautiful homer that barely felt like a big deal—just another day at the office. But if you’re a new fan and the Dodgers are your first glimpse into Major League Baseball, watching them steamroll the competition is pretty exciting.
Even when Agustin Ramirez of the Marlins hit a triple, I never once felt like the momentum had shifted. The Dodgers just feel inevitable.
