THE MPBL STATS

Hi.
What’s up?
This is Syd, and starting next week, you’re going to see a bunch of MPBL stats on this site.
Unlike the PBA website, the MPBL site, while still far from perfect, actually has more substantial data. There may be no news or feature articles, but they’ve managed to archive player numbers dating back to the league’s inception. This is basically the one thing I’ve always wanted the PBA to add to their own site.
That said, the main issue I have isn’t really the site’s fault. MPBL games can last anywhere from 25 to 35 minutes, and a single season comes with frequent roster changes. It gets to the point where a team can have close to 30 players suit up in one season. In the 2025 MPBL season alone, the Marikina Shoemasters played 34 players.
That’s a lot.
On top of that, the league is filled with well-known surnames. When I checked the Basilan Starhorse roster, I didn’t immediately realize that Arwind Santos wasn’t the only “A. Santos” on the team. Across the league, there are several players listed the same way.
Aside from season stats, I’ll also be taking a look at current PBA rookies who began their pro careers in the MPBL, former PBA greats who saw action in the league, and even the personalities who suited up and played.
So I put this together to satisfy the OCD in me and to keep everything in proper perspective. The first four teams drop on Monday.
Get Sydrified.
