THE PITCHER'S JINX

I guess in any sport, the announcer’s jinx is just unavoidable. I know the pain of the dreaded free throw jinx all too well—and yet, guys like Quinito Henson still insist on dropping stats during clutch moments, even when their fellow commentators are begging them not to. We’ve even seen players like Steph Curry call out announcers like Kevin Harlan for this kind of thing.
Anyway, I was watching a YouTube clip of the showdown between Shohei Ohtani and Mets pitcher Kodai Senga, and the announcer kept going on about how Senga had only given up one home run all season. Welp—not anymore. I guess it’s a universal rule: just shut the hell up and don’t jinx the players!
That said, I’m a Shohei fan, so this totally works for me. Hehe.
