2023 PBA DRAFT ORDER (SEASON 48)

The 2023 PBA Draft is officially the 2022 PBA Draft. The make things easier, the league has Season 48 in parenthesis.

I am a mere fan of the whole PBA Draft system. I usually have Pinoy Exchange to verify my research and speculations but now that the website is about to end, I am going to look for info on a lot of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and other blog sites.

This is hard - considering that the applicants haven't officially applied and I can sense a lot of wrong things in most mock drafts.

For instance, the lack of NCAA players in the first round is glaring. In Season 47, apart from the Fil-Ams and the Ateneo boys, the league has seen the awesomeness of Ato Ular and Justin Arana as well as the contributions of JM Calma, Jeo Ambohot, and Allen Mina. You can't discount the NCAA players because while the UAAP guys are more marketable, these players have proven that their style is tailor-made for the PBA game.

Another point worth noting is the need to insert all the Fil-Americans. Inasmuch as it's nice to have players like Christian David, CJ Lane, and even Sedrick Barefield in the PBA Draft, through the years, I have seen a lot of mock draft rate Jason Brickman, Mikh McKinney, Kyle Toth, Caelan Tiongson, Avery Scharer, and even Val Domingo right and for some reason, they end up playing their careers elsewhere.

Anyway, this is the draft order the way I see it as of April 8. Feel free to correct me in the comments section because I'll probably use this up until we get a more correct version. I think the first round needs minor tinkering but I don't know if my second round is correct.
