2026 PBA COMMISSIONER'S CUP FINALS | GINEBRA VS TNT | HALFWAY POINT

We're now at the halfway point of the 2026 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals, with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings holding a 2-1 series lead over the TNT Tropang 5G.
If you take a look at the numbers, Justin Brownlee and Chris McCullough have been doing most of the heavy lifting for their respective teams. That said, it's not as if they're carrying the load alone. RJ Abarrientos has been to Ginebra what RR Pogoy has been to TNT, a reliable secondary scorer and a crucial source of offense.
If the series were to end at this point, one of these players would likely walk away with the Finals MVP award. As things stand, RJ Abarrientos appears to be a lock for the BPC, while Justin Brownlee is the frontrunner for Best Import honors.
That said, their chances of claiming the Finals MVP award would be much stronger if Ginebra also goes on to win the championship.
Meanwhile, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Jordan Heading have stepped up to help offset the production of Scottie Thompson and Troy Rosario.
Calvin Oftana's numbers would likely be much better had it not been for his disappointing Game 3 performance. Ironically, the opposite can be said for Stephen Holt, who bounced back in a big way in Game 3 after scoring just one point combined in the first two games of the series.
