LISTENING TO | AIKEE - DOTA O AKO | THE WISH VANESSA BLANCA TRIBUTE (2026)

When I first heard the song, I think I was on the verge of retiring from DOTA. No, I wasn't a good DOTA player. Hell, it would have been amazing if I had a string of nights where I had ten or more kills and ten or fewer deaths.
But for me, it's not about the gameplay, per se. It's all about hanging out with a group of guys who were on the same wavelength.
I remember going to a computer shop near UST on a Saturday, waiting for my friends to hit ten so we could go 5v5. We'd go out of the shop to smoke, talk about the last game, talk about life, and figure out where we'd go drinking afterward.
There was a time when Saturday was an untouchable day for me because, even when I was already working, that computer shop was my haven.
Anyway, the song was first released by Aikee in 2011, although it had already been making waves as early as 2010. The song talks about a man's life choice: will he play from sundown to sunup, or will he spend more time with his girlfriend?
The Wish 107.5 version is extra significant because Aikee is rapping alongside the voice of the late singer Vanessa Blanca. The duo first collaborated on the song when it was originally released, and the former Pop Star Kids finalist and Sugarpop member passed away last August.
