LISTENING TO | SAMPAGUITA - HUWAG NA LANG KAYA

I forgot this happened.

Back in 2000, Nescafe had this thing with bands. And I guess before they had that awesome True Faith song called "Sumasarap ang Gising," they managed to bridge generations by having The Eraserheads, True Faith, South Border, and Rivermaya together with The Apo Hiking Society, Mike Hanopol, Hotdog, and Sampaguita.

This is like the ultimate mash-up.

And while I remember the ones that had The Eraserheads and APO, I just realized how nice Sampaguita's "Huwag Na Lang Kaya" is. I mean, True Faith sang this better, but it felt like her folk rendition is ear candy as well.
