The face of Purefoods for nearly two decades, Alvin Patrimonio embodied loyalty, grit, and consistent excellence. Directly hired in 1988, Patrimonio carved out one of the greatest careers in PBA history, capturing four MVP awards—a feat matched only by Ramon Fernandez and June Mar Fajardo. A 10-time Mythical First Team member, his peak in the '90s saw him dominate both scoring and leadership, especially during his stellar 1994 and 1997 campaigns, where he combined MVPs with Best Player of the Conference honors. Known more for his polished post play and relentless work ethic than flashy defense, "The Captain" still anchored Purefoods to seven championships, including a Finals MVP run in the 1997 All-Filipino Cup. An icon on and off the court, Patrimonio remains a gold standard for franchise cornerstones.
