Glenn McDonald's most recognizable claim to fame was when he scored eight points in the third OT period of Boston's thrilling Game 5 victory in the 1976 NBA Finals. However, McDonald was part of U/Tex's championship runs in 1978 and 1980 - both during the Open Conference. He also became U/Tex's coach in 1981 and 1982 before un-retiring to briefly star as playing coach for the Sunkist Juice Lovers in 1983.
