Iman Zandi suited up for Mahindra during the 2016 Governors’ Cup and posted modest averages of 6.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 6 games. A known sharpshooter from Iran, Zandi was brought in to provide perimeter scoring and experience, but never fully clicked within the Enforcer system.

Despite flashes of scoring ability, Zandi struggled to assert himself consistently on a team still trying to build its identity. His PBA run was short-lived, but he became part of the league’s continued experiment with Asian imports.
