A steady hand behind the flashy duo of Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle, Omar Krayem provided valuable backcourt support for GlobalPort as their Asian import in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup.
In 11 games, the Palestinian-American playmaker averaged 14.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.5 steals in 25.5 minutes per outing. He served as a reliable third guard who could stretch the floor and facilitate when needed. His smart, composed play and chemistry with the team led to discussions of a possible return the following season.
Though never flashy, Krayem’s stint was quietly effective—he was an example of an Asian import who embraced his role.
