A former NCAA champion and NBA lottery pick, Rashad McCants arrived in the PBA with heavy hype and a flashy résumé. Drafted 14th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft, McCants once averaged double-digit points across 249 NBA games, showing flashes of elite scoring with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Known for his scoring instincts and confident shot-making, McCants was tapped by the Powerade Tigers in the 2012 PBA Governors' Cup. While his talent was undeniable, conditioning issues hampered his impact on the court.
McCants was sent home after two games and was replaced by Omar Sneed.
