Bogs Adornado was the PBA’s original scoring machine. A proud product of the UST Glowing Goldies, Adornado took the league by storm as one of the inaugural superstars of Philippine pro basketball. He won the very first PBA Most Valuable Player award in 1975, then repeated the feat in 1976 and 1981, making him the league’s first three-time MVP. Known for his sweet shooting touch and effortless scoring ability, Adornado topped the league in scoring five times and was named to the Mythical Five on seven occasions. Despite a serious knee injury in the late ‘70s, he staged an inspiring comeback that led to even more accolades, proving his resilience and elite basketball mind. With 8 championships to his name, Bogs left behind a legacy of offensive brilliance and is widely regarded as one of the greatest pure scorers in PBA history.
