Long before highlight reels were a thing, Danny Florencio was already living in one. Nicknamed the "Daredevil", he brought a flair and fearlessness to the hardwood that redefined Filipino basketball swagger. A founding icon of the PBA, Florencio wasn’t about the accolades—he was about the awe. Whether splitting defenders, finishing acrobatic drives, or igniting the crowd with a daring play, he was a human spark plug. Though he never made the Mythical teams or won individual awards, his impact was undeniable, helping capture five championships and earning a spot in the PBA Hall of Fame. Simply put: he was showtime before Showtime was a concept.
