SIDNEY ONWUBERE'S FLOP IS FUNNY

Just a few days after Rain or Shine’s Jhonard Clarito obliterated an LED screen with a dropkick, he followed it up by going full Hiten Mitsurugi style—right on Northport Batang Pier's Sidney Onwubere’s face.
Oh, no...
Oh, no...
The impact was wild enough that Fran Yu had to pull Caelan Tiongson aside at the 1:11 mark of the video… only for the next camera angle to catch them cracking up like it was the funniest thing they’d ever seen.
To be fair, Onwubere did deserve the tech. A friend of mine called him a wind chakra user, and while I’m not sure if the PBA has any official stance on hokages, that flop was downright legendary, for all the wrong reasons.
That said, it’s still not as iconic as Mick Pennisi’s delayed reaction or Mark Yee’s infamous butt move on Anthony Grundy. But if I’m ever stressed out and need a solid basketball blooper fix, this moment is absolutely making the playlist.
