It all started when my kid was being unreasonable.

We were about to travel, so I thought I should teach him a lesson.

No, I was not going to scare him by road-raging.

Suddenly, I remember Batang-Bata Ka Pa. The song has an iconic tune, and like most APO songs, the song has breached eras.

At first, I was looking at the Sugarfree version. But then, maybe the band setup isn't ideal.

Then, I checked out the APO Hiking Society version.

Instead of teaching my kid to have a sense of urgency and stop being snarky, I taught him about the awesomeness of Jim Paredes, Danny Javier, and Boboy Garrovillo.

I have been a fan of the three-man act for so long, but that May 31 trip was the first time I've ever listened to O Giliw Ko.
