THE BLOODLINE ROCK IS AWESOME BUT THE UTAH JAZZ REFERENCE IS KIND OF MEH

Bloodline Rock is awesome.

I just repeated my headline.

Now I don't know what the WWE was thinking when they inserted The Rock in this faction, but it feels like after Shang Tsung, Cody Rhodes has to face Shao Khan.

Or is it the other way around?

Anyway, I guess we expected The Rock to side with Roman Reigns but hopefully, he wouldn't cast his shadow on The Tribal Chief. The Rock is the most electrifying man in all of entertainment and it's not just a catchphrase anymore. In terms of mainstream value, of course, Rocky trumps Roman. With that said, that final visual would have been better if Roman's music ended that segment. Now it feels like The Rock is just protecting his younger cousin against the bully that is The Story of The American Nightmare.

So what if Roman Reigns loses? Does this mean that his record reign will be forgotten and all of a sudden, he's going to play second fiddle to The Rock?

I just remembered. The knock Rock had on the Utah Jazz kind of failed and here's why. Utah lost to the Chicago Bulls en route to their fifth NBA championship. And then the following season, Utah played the Bulls again en route to Michael Jordan's sixth and final NBA title.

Utah gunned for the title in two consecutive seasons just like Cody Rhodes.

Instead of The Rock batching the Jazz with the San Francisco 49ers, they should have had Karl Malone, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan, and Byron F'N Russell be on the side of Cody.

The other thing that I found lacking here is the lack of any Triple H or Seth Rollins mention. There is a battle besides Roman versus Cody and that's The Bloodline versus The Authority. The Rock became Bloodline Rock because Triple H agreed to the Reigns versus Rhodes match. Rollins is Triple H's kind of "heir apparent" alongside Randy Orton to the point that he has dibs on The Pedigree as a SIGNATURE MOVE. This not only made Rollins irrelevant, but it also made his title extremely secondary.

And I still think they need The Judgment Day to be in the scheme of things. Damien Priest has the other important instant game-changer and he is stuck battling DIY and Awesome Truth. I know his interactions with R-Truth are funny but what exactly are the rules of the briefcase now?

Is he really going to wait until July (since Money in the Bank 2023 happened on July 1) to cash in?

With that said, this is why WWE is tearing it up, unlike the other company with that other Samoan champion. Inasmuch as it's a good thing that they are quiet right now, they need to do something to at least protect their selves from this WWE onslaught. In a past blog, I had something to say about how The Young Bucks look. A couple of hours ago, I just saw how shitty The Von Erichs look, to no proper debut as if getting paired with Goldust is going to take their popularity to the moon.

The debut of Sasha Banks is almost as long as that of Emmalina.

This Bloodline storyline is awesome and in some ways, I really want to see how Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens are going to be brought back to the story.

Hell, maybe we're going to see Drew McIntyre remember the hell he went through with the stable.

It's so unpredictable!
