JALEN BRUNSON GOES SNL
I guess one of the perks of the New York Knicks winning an NBA championship is having their best player host Saturday Night Live.
In fact, it's amazing that during the show's storied run, in which it has featured countless stars and been hosted by a smorgasbord of Hollywood icons, legendary musicians, big-time sports personalities, and even a couple of media personalities, it had never experienced the euphoria of a New York Knicks championship run.
This is why it was almost automatic that the show's first host of its new season would be 2026 NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson.
Now, it helps that Brunson already had a bit of experience in the spotlight, as he had made a couple of appearances in WWE, where he got involved in a feud with Knicks enemy and Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.
I mean, he also had this thing with Roman Reigns. It's basically the modern-day version of what Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone did in WCW back in the '90s.
He delivered a monologue that also featured his Knicks teammates Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart.
Brunson also appeared in a bunch of skits, with my favorite being the one where he scrambled the brain of the dude who was supposed to be the character of Zac Efron in Disney's iconic High School Musical.
So I think, for a sports personality, he did well.
So here's to the, uh, “Office MVP.”
